Brief description of the project

A threaded helical insert represents spring-elastic spiral made of specific rhombic profiled steel with bent technological driver. Inner and outer diameters of threaded inserts correspond to standard metric threads and the position of spiral convolutions in running order – to the pitch of restorable thread.

Due to the difference of standard bolts and nuts deformations, efforts in convolutions within the length of thread engagement are nonuniform. Usage of the elastic threaded spiral insert makes it possible to distribute load between thread convolution more uniformly

Purpose

The project is aimed at producing spiral threaded inserts, which allow to restore spoiled as well as to tap new internal cylindrical thread in products made of any materials. The application of threaded inserts allow to make products’ life longer and to effectively cut repair cost. It also makes it possible to exchange metric thread for inch one

Field of application

Spiral threaded inserts are used for repair and strengthening of screw joints surfaces and hence for increasing products efficiency
